2026 Business Tax Deadlines: Your Complete Calendar
It is time to get organized for the 2026 tax season! Knowing when to file and pay is crucial for staying compliant and avoiding hefty IRS penalties.
Important Note: These deadlines apply to the 2025 tax year (reporting income earned between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2025).
Here is a breakdown of the key 2026 deadlines based on your business entity.

📅 Key Income Tax Filing Deadlines
- March 16, 2026 (Mon): Partnerships (Form 1065) and S Corporations (Form 1120-S) are due. Note: March 15 is a Sunday, so the deadline is moved to the next business day.
- April 15, 2026 (Wed): C Corporations (Form 1120) and Sole Proprietorships/Single-Member LLCs (Schedule C on Form 1040) are due.
Need More Time?
If you cannot meet the deadline, you must file for an automatic extension (Form 7004 for corporations/partnerships, Form 4868 for sole proprietors) by the dates above.
- Extension Deadline (S-Corps/Partnerships): September 15, 2026
- Extension Deadline (C-Corps/Sole Props): October 15, 2026
Remember: An extension to file is not an extension to pay. Estimated taxes must still be paid by the original deadline.
